After 30 years out of the saddle my kids had grown up and were off doing their own things and it was time for me to go back to doing what I used to love, so I bought myself a horse named Mouse! But I found that after so long away from horses, not only were my skills very rusty but also my confidence was severely lacking.
Karen White from Mohegan Equestrian came highly recommended.
I started with a private lesson which helped with making me feel less anxious and more calm, I was so impressed that I decided to send Mouse to bootcamp for a week with Karen for “spring-cleaning”! During the time that Mouse was at Mohegan I attended several workshops and was linked in with other like-minded people. Karen is a true professional with dedication and commitment who is prepared to spend as long as it takes to help horse and rider bond and achieve their full potential.
Karen has helped ease me back into the sometimes daunting world of horse ownership, she has encouraged me to be brave and face my fears. My horse is more supple and balanced – Karen is an inspiration, a mentor, and has linked me in with an extended network of friends for support.
